Anything and everything to do with technology
Brian is a long-time web programmer who started his career by building small websites for fellow classmates while attending the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana (UIUC). A small group of friends got together to build some very basic sites for public information and an occasional laugh!
Always interested in figuring out how things work, Brian quickly jumped into learning CGI with PERL and began building forms and creating text-based databases which would be used for some of the first online forums and discussion groups on the web. During his time at UIUC, he deeply missed his favorite radio show from Chicago, Mancow’s Morning Madhouse, and thus developed the first fan website for the show using his hosting account at the university.
Brian’s college career ended him up at Governor’s State University, in University Park, IL, where he eventually took a job in the campus IT department, but not before spending a year with the LincolnNet Project at Governor’s State. This project was primarly web-based and offered free dial-up Internet services to government organizations. Through the LincolnNet Project, Brian continued to build his skills of web development.
Following these 2 university jobs, Brian landed his first job of programming Windows applications at a small firm in Kankakee, IL. There, he formed a team of 4 highly talented IT professional (2 developers, 1 graphics artist, and a promotional agent) and formed 4Minds Internet Group, a web software development company.
Following the tragic loss of one of the 4Minds developers, and a disbanding of the group, 4Minds continues on today by its original founder, Brian, and still offers individualized web programming services. It is Brian’s hope that you find the site interesting and useful, and that free content and information can be shared amongst several IT professionals who are looking to build their own web programming skills.
Additional information on 4Minds Internet Group can be obtained by visiting the main website at http://www.4minds.com. We are constantly evolving to meet the needs of the Internet community.
